Giving Tuesday - 2022

Did you take full advantage of the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales this year? I sure did! In a matter of a few hours I went from having barely started my Christmas shopping to having it completed. Did you know that today is Giving Tuesday? Giving Tuesday is a day that encourages people to give back in whatever ways they can. It’s no coincidence that the MS Society of Canada launched the MS Walk platform for 2023 today. I have already signed up to participate.

On Sunday, May 28, 2023, I will participate in my second MS Walk. The Barrie MS Walk will start at 11:00am at the Southshore Community Centre and it will follow a 5km route.

I would love to have you join or support my team, MS Life Among the Clouds. How can you participate?

1. You can donate to my personal page: https://msspwalk.donordrive.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=donordrive.participant&participantID=24442

2. You can either join my team or donate to my team (you don’t need to be able to attend the Barrie MS Walk event in person to be able to join my team, you can participate remotely): https://msspwalk.donordrive.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=donordrive.team&teamID=9264

3. You can join us on Sunday, May 28, 2023, at the Barrie MS Walk event

4. You can walk, run, or bike anywhere in the world in the name of MS awareness (and be sure to post pictures and tag me @mslifeamongtheclouds and #mswalkcanada on Instagram).

Canada has the highest rate of Multiple Sclerosis in the world. Let that sink in for a minute. We have 291 people living with MS for every 100,000 people (as of 2015). The costs of MS to our public healthcare system are exorbitant. With your support and/or donation, you can help to further research towards better treatments, preventions, and hopefully, one day, a cure to this terrible disease.

If you have any questions about the MS Walk, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me. I hope that you can join us either in person or from afar in raising MS awareness!

If you are looking for a great cause to support this Giving Tuesday, I would love your support.
